Incorporated in 1979, the organization was initially funded with small grants to support a small range of programs. In the three decades since, AzAAP continues to play a vital role in child-oriented public health initiatives, including programs that work to increase early childhood literacy, fight childhood obesity, ensure that all Arizona children are immunized against infectious diseases, and guarantee that our children have the best health care available to them by providing the highest quality of continuing education to the professionals who care for them.
The Arizona Chapter is proud to boast a history of national accolades that includes being recognized multiple times as a Chapter of Excellence by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Today, AzAAP is proud to be Arizona’s leading voice in pediatric care.
