Information for Referral Sources

According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s KIDS Count Data Center, more than 162,000 Arizona children are living without health insurance.* Their household income is either too high for them to qualify for AHCCCS, or too low for them to afford the cost of private health care insurance.  This financial burden means many of these children go without the necessary health care they need to be successful in both school and in life.  This is where the Medical Services Project comes in.

The services coordinated through MSP include:

  • Pediatric Primary Care (for acute issues)
  • Specialty Care with sub-specialty care providers
  • Prescription Medication
  • Diagnostic Laboratory Services
  • Vision Services (including exams and glasses)
  • Dental Services
  • Radiology Services
  • Referrals to pediatric members and/or health care clinics for help in finding a medical home

Some changes are coming to MSP!  New MSP guidelines, information, and forms are underway
for the 2016-17 school year.
Please continue to use last year's forms to submit referrals until the new information is released.
Please contact MSP staff for
program information or to obtain
forms for referring students:
