Pediatric Council
Pediatric Council members are focused on practice management and
educating health plans about child health and issues of importance to
the practice of pediatrics. Council members communicate the needs of
pediatric practices regularly via phone, email and face to face meetings
with the medical directors of major health plans. The Council also
strives to educate the membership about how to effectively advocate on
behalf of their business, strengthen a child's medical home and enhance practice managements skills.
AzAAP Pediatric Council efforts have been recognized nationally, especially for
their advocacy work related to appropriate payment for vaccine administration.
