Bullying Prevention: A Research-Informed Community Outreach Event by Barrow Neurological Institute

Bullying is a serious problem for many children and teens that can cause myriad of problems later in life, including long-term impacts on physical and mental health. Join us for a FREE public outreach event focused on bullying prevention. This event will take place on the main campus of Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s and the Arizona Psychological Association are proud to sponsor this community event featuring special guest speaker, Dr. Dorothy Espelage. Drawing on two decades of research on school bullying, sexual violence and gender-based harassment to share proven strategies on bullying prevention in schools and communities, Dr. Espelage will also share innovative ideas and provide answers for a wide range of questions related to this troubling issue.

"Disease is Bad. Vaccines are Good." Please join us at the Arizona Department of Health Services 26th Annual Arizona Immunization Conference April 17-18, 2019 at Black Canyon Conference Center in Phoenix, AZ. Come network with fellow vaccination champions as we learn about the amazing vaccines available to prevent infectious diseases, the Vaccines for Children Program (VFC), and other vaccination resources available to healthcare providers in Arizona.


Registration Information

Registration for each day includes conference attendance, conference materials, breakfast, lunch, two refreshment breaks, and continuing education credit (as applicable). After completion of the online registration process, an email with a unique confirmation number will be sent to you. We recommend saving or printing it for your records. Attendees can change or cancel their registration until 5:00 pm, April 12, 2019.

We are providing a user-friendly mobile app (CrowdCompass) that provides each attendee with a hands-on interactive conference experience. Please use a valid email address that you will have access to during the conference when you register through our online registration site and bring your mobile phone to the event. The 42nd Annual Pediatrics in the Red Rocks is a 3 day post-graduate course, jointly sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Arizona Chapter. You should attend Pediatrics in the Red Rocks if you are a primary care or hospitalist pediatrician, pediatric subspecialist, hospital and/or university faculty, resident, medical student, or nurse practitioner. The course combines lectures, case presentations, question and answer sessions and workshops with time for informal interaction with the guest faculty and peers.
