Banner  University Medical Group is seeking a qualified candidate to join our  growing Pediatric clinic in Sahuarita, AZ, just twenty minutes outside  of Tucson. This established clinic is expanding and offers a busy  outpatient setting with a top notch clinical team and supportive  leadership.


Position Details:

· Monday-Friday Outpatient Clinic; 4.5 days direct patient care, .5 day admin time

· Average Patient Volume of 20-25 patients/day

· Clinical  responsibilities to include wellness visits, chronic care disease  management, as well as specialized procedures (i.e. circumcisions)


Qualifications:

Moonlighting opportunity:


Twilight Pediatrics (https://www.gilbert-pediatrics.com/twilight-pediatrics) is an after-hours walk-in clinic located in Mesa, AZ.  Open Monday through Saturday from 6-10pm, our practitioners provide sick care, address minor injuries, and perform sports physicals.  Basic lab testing and medications are available in office while imaging and more complex labs are sent out.  Paper charting.
 

We are looking for a BC/BE pediatrician with an active AZ license, DEA, and malpractice insurance.  Compensation is $250 base pay for each 4hr shift + $25 for each patient seen after the first 8.  We will reimburse up to $1000/yr for malpractice insurance (with a regular work schedule).

Job Description

YRMC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Children’s Rehabilitative Services Medical Director to lead our CRS Clinic. This crucial role involves:

  • Medical Director for Children’s Rehab Services & the Pediatric Sub Specialty Clinic.
  • Medical Director Point of Contact for all 4 CRS clinics statewide.
  • Point of Contact for 20 providers statewide, including physicians and allied health providers.
  • Providing annual medical assessments of CRS patients.
  • Coordinating care with CRS subspecialists.
  • Collaborating with the State on regulatory, insurance, and other matters.
  • Working with community providers and assessing community needs.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans for children with rehabilitative needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Mentoring and supervising medical staff.
  • Engaging in community outreach and education.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Annual Comprehensive Assessments:Conducts thorough evaluations for all CRS members, reviewing both internal and external clinic notes to ensure complete understanding of complex statewide patient cases.
  • Daily Collaboration:Readily available to discuss case details, lab results, and orders with subspecialists every day.
  • Statewide Clinic Note Reviews: Oversees the review of clinic notes across the state to maintain thorough patient assessments, supporting ED, pediatric hospitalists, and other subspecialists.
  • Craniofacial Clinic Leadership:Facilitates the CRS multidisciplinary craniofacial clinic, which convenes monthly.
  • Pediatric Metabolic Clinic Initiator: Pioneered the Pediatric Metabolic Clinic to cater to specific metabolic needs.
  • Cardiology Powershare Advocacy:Champions efforts for PCH to gain cardiology powershare, enhancing the efficiency of pediatric echo readings.
  • Insurance Liaison:Works with insurance companies to resolve issues related to service denials, including surgeries.
  • Healthy Kids and Wellness Participation: Engages in the Healthy Kids after-hours program and collaborates with the Wellness Team.
  • Community Provider Updates:Provides essential updates and conducts presentations on topics like obesity management for primary care providers.
  • Emergency and Routine Support:Always on call to assist the ED, pediatricians, and hospitalists, offering deep expertise in infectious diseases.
  • Guardianship Assistance:Helps primary care physicians (PCPs) with guardianship applications for children under complex conditions.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Pediatrician to participate primarily in the care of patients under the care of Dignity Health Medical Group’s Pediatric practice in the outpatient and inpatient newborn settings.

  • Education and clinical oversight of learners in general clinic, continuity clinic, and newborn nursery
  • Activities include but are not limited to: care of patients, teaching and supervising learners, performing medical student and resident assessments, feedback and written evaluations, oversight of education and quality improvement activities and clinic performance metrics, maintenance of an educational environment conducive to educating medical students and residents in both LCME and ACGME competency areas
  • Oversees, prepares and presents ambulatory didactic curriculum
  • Support for administrative, strategic and operational planning for the clinic in collaboration with residency and clinical leadership.
  • Serve roles as Mentor and Faculty Advisor
  • Participation on clinical, quality, administrative and medical education committees
  • May have roles as Core Faculty and Advisor, support and maintain residency program curricula

  • Clinical time in general pediatrics
